Group leaders meet with President of Equatorial Guinea.
At the invitation of Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, President and Head of State of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, paid a state visit to the People's Republic of China from May 27 to May 31, 2024.
During the visit, President Obiang met with the Group's Deputy General Manager Hong Lizhi on May 30. During the meeting, Hong Lizhi, on behalf of the Group, presented to President Obiang a bronze statue of Premier Zhou Enlai's centenary birthday and a picture of the Chinese character "longevity", which not only expressed the historical significance of Premier Zhou Enlai's founding of China-Africa friendship, but also expressed his best wishes to President Obiang. Hong Lizhi reported to President Obiang the progress of the 25-kilometer municipal road project in Anisoke City, which is under construction in Equatorial Guinea, and hoped to further strengthen interaction with the project authorities of Equatorial Guinea, further deepen cooperation in the fields of infrastructure and new energy, and make contributions to the national construction of Equatorial Guinea!
President Obiang affirmed the contribution made by Chinese enterprises to the construction and development of Equatorial Guinea and hoped that Chinese enterprises will make continuous efforts and work together with the people of Equatorial Guinea to build a better Equatorial Guinea. President Obiang stressed that the relevant contents of this meeting have been recorded so that the two sides can further explore cooperation.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Equatorial Guinean government from the Ministries of Civil Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Defense, Health, Finance and National Heritage. The meeting ended in a lighthearted atmosphere. At the end of the meeting, Hong Lizhi took a group photo with President Obiang.
